I spoke with Tanya from HOME DEPOT DECORATIONS COLLECTION (which is still Home Depot) yesterday and she still wants ME to fix the fan myself.

She wants to send me a part and then I have to get up on a chair and install the part, as if I am an electrician.

Then she suggested that I FIND someone to fix it or ask the same electrician who installed it to come back and repair it or remove it for FREE!

I then explained that people don't work for FREE.

I paid the electrician $250 to install the ceiling fan, and he would expect that to remove it or try to fix it if he could.

Home Depot has electricians that they can send out and remove the ceiling fan or fix it.

Home Depot doesn't want to do that.

I told them that I just reviewed the ceiling fan and Home Depot on PISSEDCONSUMER.COM and after telling them that, they had me on hold for nearly 30 until I stopped holding.

Home Depot knows their ceiling fans have problems with their motors and things that work with the motors, and they feel they can just tell the consumer anything like the CONSUMER needs to fix the fan that they just purchased.

Just plain wrong.

Reason of review: Damaged or defective.

Monetary Loss: $450.

Preferred solution: I want this defective ceiling fan out of my home, a refund for the item and to be repaid for the electrician I had to pay to install it..

Home Decorators Collection Cons: How the product is defective.

Home Depot is aware of the problem. I still have my ceiling fan hanging in my kitchen and it doesn't work at all.

It stopped working completely after about four months. I paid $250 to an electrician to install it. I let the Home Depot folks know that it is not right to sell shoddy ceiling fans knowing that people will spend lots of money to install it and then it doesn't work and then the customer is STUCK. They know this.

The ceiling fans look the exactly the same to me (the defective one I have and the ones they are selling now), but I think they have different numbers (to throw people off)????

MADE IN CHINA Just plain wrong, Home Depot. I don't plan to drop the issue about the fan and the $250 I had to spend to have it installed.

I just bought 2 of these fans. Same brand but different model.

Neither of the LED lights will work. I spent half a day installing both of them only the turn the power back on and find out the LED lights will not come on. Took them both back apart, checked all of my wires, everything is right.

No lights. As much as these cost I will be taking them back down tomorrow and boxing them up to return them.

68โ€ ceiling fan Altura- remote doesnโ€™t work- hours of work to mount to high ceilings Now I read this has been an ongoing and known issue with Home Depot Who cares! Itโ€™s up on the ceiling. From what Iโ€™ve read it doesnโ€™t seem like Home Depot has a remedy.
